Catherine Dior , sister of the famed  French clothing designer Christian Dior, became an important contact for the French Resistance in WWII.  Arrested and tortured by the Gestapo in 1944 and sent to Ravensbrück concentration camp,  she escaped near Dresden in 1945. As Christian’s sister, she became the inspiration behind his famed fragrance Miss Dior, a scent that remains a classic to this day.  Catherine’s life is that of a genuine heroine.
